Private On-site Wastewater Treatment System (POWTS) Soil Evaluation is used when a proposed building or home will not be connected to municipal sewer and water.  The Wisconsin Department of Commerce's POWTS program protects public health and state waters by regulating on-site recycling and wastewater treatment systems, and by promoting the use of best available technology to provide on-site sewage treatment system solutions for landowners.  

JDK has been a proud participant of this program and certified by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce since 2002.  We have performed POWTS soil evaluations in the following counties: Columbia, Calumet, Dane, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Jefferson, Marquette, Milwaukee, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago.  In 2006 we hope to expand our services into more counties.

• Initial Soil Screening
• Septic Field Area Layout and Sizing
• Field Verification of Soils
• Engineer, Plumber, and Excavator coordination
